American Trucks of the 1950s

Here is a wonderful little book that visually focuses on the trucks of North America (including Canada) from the 1950s. What is especially nice here is the focus on larger trucks, commercial trucks and industrial trucks. $29.95.
american-trucks-of-the-1950sThere is something about industrial design from the 1930s-1960s that is so appealing. Here is a wonderful little book that visually focuses on the trucks of North America (including Canada) from the 1950s.

There are great black and white and color photos of trucks, but what makes this book so appealing is the short blurb about each company, in alphabetical order. Starting with Autocar, which has a few pages dedicated to it. Others, like Corbitt or Fageol, might be limited to one photo or just a short paragraph about the company. Ford, Dodge, GMC and Chevy have larger sections.

What is especially nice here is the focus on larger trucks, commercial trucks and industrial trucks. This would be excellent winter armchair reading. Softcover, about 100 pages, new, $29.95 plus s&h.
